I developed a strong interest in photography in 2008 after I semi-retired from teaching kindergarten. I am self-taught, devouring any information I could find to learn basically from scratch. My focus and interest quickly zeroed in on close-up and macro photography. I enjoy being able to show the wonders of nature that many people may not normally notice. Plus, I can always find something to photograph, even in my own backyard.
