I use my Tamron 180mm macro to photograph close-up and personal shots of butterflies, small insects, flowers, icicles, dew-drops and many other subject (some off in the distance) with my Nikon D700 and D3 cameras using Nikon flashes. It has become one of my favorite lenses.
