Bags of USAid

Bags of USAid

Distribution of the AID isn't until the next day. The people patiently wait for food.

The US provides AID to this village. There are no crops to tend to during the terrible drought.
They Smile

They Smile

The children still have smiles on their faces and are curious about me. Behind them are their traditional circular shaped dwellings made of mud.

He was just so darling, I couldn't resist.

Lalibela is the second oldest city in Ethiopia and is known for it's rock-hewn churches. This one being the most famous. There are 11 medieval monolithic cave churches of this 13th-century 'New Jerusalem' which are situated in a mountainous region in the heart of Ethiopia near a traditional village with circular-shaped dwellings. Lalibela is a high place of Ethiopian Christianity, still today a place of pilgrimage and devotion.

Red Ribbon

Young adults playing foosball. But showing it's presence is the AIDS awareness ribbon on the sleeve of this boys shirt..
Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola

I'm curious as to how much Coca-Cola had to pay in order to advertise in this village? It's cheaper to buy a bottle of "Coke" than it is to buy a bottle of water let alone to find it in Ethiopia.
Biblical

Biblical

It always seemed like any day Jesus would make an appearance.
