White Hyacinth
Shooting at f2.8 allowed me to blur the foreground flowers to create great, soft framing.

Deep Purple
The deep purple colors of this striped hyacinth really caught my attention.

Unknown
I do not know what this is but it definitely looked great against the greenery in the back.

Tulips
That is actually a fire in a fire pit in the background.
Shooting with a Tamron 90mm Macro at f2.8 blurred the back perfectly with great bokeh.
Assorted Zinnias
This is an arrangement from my garden. I just really liked the bright, contrasting colors. The background was not a backdrop but the sky, that I exposed to blow out. A little bit of flash brightened the scene.

Soft unknown
I do not know what this is but it was taken at the Allentown Flower Show. Shooting with the Tamron 90mm Macro at f2.8 really gave me the effect I was after with the lights in the background. They were LEDs on a tree several yards away.
More Beautiful Than Spring
This was taken at my Grandmother's house in a garden that had not been cleaned up in the fall. This was still there the following spring. I don't know what she was growing, but it is just as beautiful as the day it bloomed.

Tulips and Hydrangea
This was also taken at the Allentown Flower Show with the Tamron 90mm Macro.
The longer focal length allowed me to step back and not be in the way of fellow photographers.
Fly on Dianthus
This is one of my favorite shots ever.
I LOVE IT.
It was taken with a Tamron 60mm Macro. I was no more than 2 or 3 feet away. Moving slowly, I was able to get close without the fly noticing! Up close, I think this common fly is gorgeous.
Soft Unknown 2
This shows more of the great circular highlights of the LEDs in the back. More blades in your aperture really count in the quality of shots like this.

Tulips and Daffodils
Another shot from my garden.
Also another of my favorite shots ever.
Just enough depth of field to keep the foreground flower sharp and the rest fading into softness.
Beautiful.
Pussywillow and Red Door
I shot this group of branches in a barrel where they were being sold in bunches. The red background is a fire door actually, but the color combination was irresistible.
Chrysanthemum
This was just a found treasure at an antiques shop that was selling flowers in the fall. I just happened to have the camera with me.
