Coquille River Light

Dune grasses add some color and interest on this foggy and overcast morning

Wild Day at Cape Blanco

Wild Day at Cape Blanco

Fog rolling off the headland to meet the onrushing waves give this image an ethereal effect

Stormy Day

Stormy Day

Crashing surf, mist and storm clouds give this image a blustery feel...and of course the seagull flying over the sea mount gives it a little extra zing

Port Arago Light

Port Arago Light

Early morning fog was just starting to lift and a ray of light highlighted the foreground sea mount adding to the compositional interest of this image

Heceta Head

Heceta Head

In contrast to the other fog bound image at Heceta Head, this image captures the contrast of deep blue sky against the beach, foreground rocks and pounding surf

Yaquina Head Light

Yaquina Head Light

Beautiful golden early evening light and well timed shutter release give this image some interest

Crab Pot Buoys

Crab Pot Buoys

Strolling along the water front in downtown Newport Harbor it's possible to find all kinds of interesting things to shoot like these crab pot buoys all stacked up and ready to go back out to sea

Tranquil Harbor

Tranquil Harbor

Great sky and reflections in this late afternoon shot taken at Newport Harbor

Yaquina Bay Light

Yaquina Bay Light

The deep almost indigo sky (polarizer helps) in stark contrast to the white light keepers house makes this shot of Yaquina Bay Lighthouse just outside of Newport

Sunset at Beverly Beach

Sunset at Beverly Beach

This shot was taken at a slow shutter speed to impart a creamy texture to the water

Days End

Days End

Bones of the Peter Ireland rest in the surf zone at Fort Stevens Beach. Ripples in the foreground help guide your eye back into the photo

Wreck of the Peter Ireland

Wreck of the Peter Ireland

Nice evening light, meandering surf line, interesting foreground, mid-ground and background elements make this one of my favorites
